Transparency

Gravity Payments fully discloses all rates and fees to merchants.  In addition, Gravity shows merchants the regulated Visa and MasterCard costs that apply to all customers called interchange.  This allows Gravity’s customers to know how much of their charges are going to Visa and MasterCard issuing banks and how much of their charges go to Gravity to pay for the actual credit card processing.  Gravity Payments gives its customers the same edge that huge businesses receive in comparing credit card processing services to ensure costs are competitively priced. 

Low Cost

Overall, we charge between .3% and .5% over interchange.  The average amount charged over interchange is about 1.00%.  Therefore, in many cases, we can save half to two-thirds of the costs that pay for the actual credit and debit processing.  We are able to maintain a profit, while charging half of what our competitors charge, quite simply because we keep our customers five times longer than the competition does. On average, 25% of small business will cancel their current credit card processing agreement this year.  However, only 5% of Gravity’s customers will cancel their agreement with Gravity, typically due to a business sale or closure.  Because we maintain one-fifth the cost on these items, we can afford to pass the savings on to you and still pay competitive salaries to employees, invest in our community through non-profit contributions, and make a profit for shareholders.
